History

Our founder, G. Lynne Chancy, MSN, RN, started this journey over ten years ago in her home tutoring nursing students who were encountering difficulties in their course of study. Her reputation for developing successful students both in their nursing program and on the NCLEX Exam quickly spread. With the encouragement of her students and the community who were thirsty for her teaching, she formalized her NCLEX Review Course and tutoring services and moved to a location in Plantation, FLORIDA which is now the main campus of  SUNRISE SCHOOL OF NURSING.

Our Mission

The mission of SUNRISE SCHOOL OF NURSING is to provide trained nursing providers with multicultural sensitivity, interpersonal and professional knowledge, and skills that will improve the quality of life for the residents of their community.

SUNRISE SCHOOL OF NURSING’s goal is to apply the core principles of Jean Watson’s Caring Theory, which includes loving, kindness, authenticity, spirituality, respect, and love for others in cultivating a well-rounded graduate nurse who is ready to bring peace, dignity, healing, and human caring to their patients.

Our graduates will be recognized as leaders in the field of nursing as they serve their community.
